Visit Scotland - Wilde Thyme ratings
Members of the Wilde Thyme team often have to stay over at event locations due to the late finish of some events. This means that we get to sample a wide variety of hotels, guest houses and B & B's all over Scotland and we have started apply our own star rating
Gold* (event managers fighting over who gets to stay there)
Silver* (Pretty good, would go back)
Bronze* (if it's all that available it will do for the Chefs & KP to get a couple of hours sleep)
Tarnished* (not to be booked ever again, ever, sleeping in the van is a better option)
Sadly quite a lot of the accommodation we book seems to fall into the tarnished category - top (or should that be bottom?) of this list so far this year is the establishment which had underlay but no carpet, no hot water -the room did have a TV, just no aerial
